Ikano provides even more comfort for DFS customers

Ikano Financial Services, the retail finance specialist, is now providing consumer finance on behalf of leading UK furniture retailer, DFS.

The Nottingham based company was selected to provide finance options to the customers of DFS, following a successful trial held at the retailer’s busy Northampton store.

Ikano will be providing ‘interest free credit’ products to DFS’ thousands of customers at selected stores across the UK. DFS, which is the UK’s largest credit provider in the furniture market, chose to work with Ikano following the success of its trial, where it was able to demonstrate strong service levels and account management provision.

“As one of the UK’s best known furniture retailers, DFS invests heavily into its instore experience, and the availability of finance is an important part of that experience for customers,”  explains Ikano Financial Services commercial director, Dan Joy.

“It’s rewarding to be able to help DFS strengthen that customer experience by providing access to finance that doesn’t detract from the feel good factor of buying high quality furnishings for the home.”  Ikano’s DFS contract is the second consumer finance partnership in the furniture sector that it has announced in a month. Ikano was also named ‘One to Watch’ in the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For 2012 listing in March.

Graham Field, head of financial services, DFS, comments:

“DFS as a business is in an exciting growth stage, already opening eight new stores during this financial year and significantly expanding our UK manufacturing capacity. Given this growth strategy, we are delighted that the recent pilot with Ikano was successful, enabling us to add them to our lender panel. Going forward this supports our strong IFC proposition with what is clearly a credible provider.”

Ikano Financial Services also provides finance solutions for retailers Harveys, Bensons for Beds and IKEA.
