IKEA Home card closure - FAQs

 

  • We have reviewed our business following the introduction of the IKEA Family credit card and have taken the decision to close the IKEA Home card product.

    Your card will no longer be accepted for purchases after 30 March 2026.

    Your IKEA Home card agreement will be terminated and your account closed on 31 March 2026, or when your balance has been paid off, whichever is later.

  • You can use your IKEA Home card up to 30 March 2026. After that date, it won’t be accepted in-store or online at IKEA.
  • Yes. Refunds for items bought with your IKEA Home card can still be returned to your account in line with IKEA’s usual returns policy.
  • Your monthly payments and account terms stay the same. You can continue making payments online, by Direct Debit, or using any usual method until your balance is cleared.

  • Yes. If you already have a Direct Debit set up, it will continue to be collected as normal.

    If you don’t have a Direct Debit and would like to set one up, you can do so here.
  • Any transactions made up to 30 March 2026 will be processed as normal. From 31 March 2026 onwards, payments will be declined.
  • Your balance doesn’t change. Continue making your usual monthly payments until it’s cleared. You can make additional payments at any time if you would like to pay off your balance sooner.
  • From 31 March 2026, your account will close automatically once your balance is fully paid.
  • Yes. Statements will continue as normal, and you can view them online anytime by logging in to your account.
  • Yes. You can choose to apply for the new IKEA Family credit card, designed to give you more flexibility – not just at IKEA, but wherever Mastercard is accepted. Find out more here.
  • Yes. Additional cards can be used until 30 March 2026, provided they haven’t expired. The main account holder should make sure any additional cardholders are aware of the changes.
  • No. Replacement cards will no longer be issued.
  • Yes. Please continue to report lost or stolen cards so we can make sure they cannot be used by someone else.
